The MCX Device Simulator – PRO is a high-performance, hardware-based solution designed for large-scale testing, validation, and performance analysis of Mission Critical Communications (MCX) systems. Built on the M5 platform and powered by Valid8’s protocol engine, it provides a robust and scalable environment for emulating complex MCX network and device behaviour under real-world conditions.The system supports high-capacity testing with up to 256 concurrent 4G and 5G user equipment (UEs), enabled by dedicated licensing and MC-PTT Load Software. This allows for realistic stress, load, and scalability testing of mission-critical services. Integrated RF 2x2 MIMO cards ensure reliable wireless performance across diverse test scenarios, while the MCX test harness, client emulator, and server functional test suite provide full end-to-end validation capabilities. A key strength of the PRO version is its comprehensive analysis and diagnostics toolkit. It includes Audio Quality Lite and an advanced probe-analyzer for MCX network monitoring, enabling deep insights into service behaviour, performance, and quality across the network.To further extend functionality, several optional modules are available. These include 4G and 5G Mobile Core Lite components for enhanced end-to-end network emulation, as well as IMS Core support for advanced service integration testing. For enhanced voice quality analysis, Audio Quality Test Pro is available, offering detailed metrics and professional-grade speech performance evaluation. In addition, the Auto Radio Configuration and Call Flow Replay from Log File feature enables automated test setup and the ability to reproduce real network call scenarios directly from captured logs, significantly improving debugging efficiency and test reproducibility.Together, these capabilities make the MCX Device Simulator – PRO a comprehensive and scalable solution for mission-critical communication testing, combining high-capacity load testing, advanced network emulation, and deep analytical insight in a single platform.
