The MCX Device Simulator – Lite is a hardware-based solution with integrated RF capabilities, designed for functional testing and validation of Mission Critical Communications (MCX) systems. Built on the M1 platform and powered by Valid8’s protocol engine, it enables accurate emulation of 4G and 5G MCX devices and network behavior in controlled and repeatable test environments.The system includes a dedicated MCX test harness, a client emulator, and an MCX server functional test suite, allowing comprehensive end-to-end validation of MCX services.

In addition, Audio Quality Lite is integrated to support basic voice performance evaluation, ensuring that communication quality can be assessed during functional testing scenarios.To further extend testing capabilities, several optional software modules are available. These include 4G and 5G Mobile Core Lite components for enhanced end-to-end network emulation, as well as IMS Core support for more advanced service-level testing. For improved voice and media analysis, Audio Quality Test Pro is available as an upgrade, offering deeper insights into speech performance and quality metrics.In addition, the system can be extended with an Auto Radio Configuration and Call Flow Replay from Log File feature, enabling automated test setup and the ability to reproduce real network call flows directly from captured logs, significantly improving debugging efficiency and test repeatability.Together, these capabilities make the MCX Device Simulator – Lite a flexible and scalable platform for development, functional validation, and early-stage testing of mission-critical communication systems.
