Valid8 MCX Demo One of the Top Five Most-Watched at PSCR 2020

Recently, the Public Safety Communications Research Division (PSCR) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) hosted their 2020 PSCR virtual event. The online event featured live sessions, on-demand sessions and tech demos, as well as a networking lounge, all accessed via a user-friendly portal. The sessions discussed topics such as user experience, location-based services, security, commercialization, mission critical voice, public safety analytics and resilient systems.

Valid8's MCPTT Client conformance tester was among the technology demos for Mission Critical Voice. During the on-demand presentation and demonstration, Ian Carpenter, CEO of Valid8, showed the execution of a mission-critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) conformance test from 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Technical Specifications (TS) 36.579-2 release 14 against a MCPTT Client using the Valid8 MCPTT Client Conformance Tester Tool.

The demonstration showed the network architecture, and the Valid8 Test Suite Application running the MCX Conformance Suite.

During the demo, Carpenter successfully executed test cases for registration and publish events for SIP 5.1. He showed the ability to generate a PDF report of the results of the test.

The live demo generated significant interest and was identified as one of the top 5 most watched demos during the event.
