ISSI/CSSI Testing Panel at IWCE 2019
The big takeaway from last month's P25 CAP Testing of ISSI/CSSI Equipment panel at IWCE 2019 in Las Vegas is that the new test standard and test tools will make ISSI/CSSI easier to set up because interoperability issues between vendors will be resolved earlier in the process. Interoperability is essential for serving the two-way radio communications needs of public safety first responders and between government and industry.
Ian Carpenter, CEO of Valid8, along with other panelists, discussed the results of recent lab and field tests to develop a test tool capable of automated testing.
Valid8 was mentioned April 1 in a follow up article to the expo, "P25 New Products & P25 Testing PPTs from IWCE 2019" published by the Project 25 Technology Interest Group. Valid8 is a member and actively participates in testing by the P25 Group to promote the success of Project 25 and educate interested parties on the benefits that the standard offers.
