The Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) is part of the 3G architecture that specifies the Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN), Core Network (CN) and the UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access (UTRA).
UMTS sub-system entities include HLR, VLR, EIR, MSC, AUC, SGSN, GGSN, Node B, RNC, and MGW.
Valid8's Test Framework enables testing of a number of UMTS interfaces including Gi, Gn, Mc, Nb and Nc.
