Enhancing signaling tester's already extensive feature set and building upon the vast library of test scenarios, the addition of Media Generator adds media conformance and validation.

Load Testing
In tandem with a signaling traffic generator, Media Generator can provide full RFC 3550 compliant RTP origination and termination, allowing performance envelope testing, implementation verification, proof-of-concept. Configurations are available that support thousands of concurrent end points and a wide variety of signaling protocols.

Quality Analysis
Provides QoS KPI’s and metrics are provided including delay, loss, out of order, de-jitter buffer simulation as well as an objective performance score using the MOS scale for audio and video media. PESQ analysis also available as option.

Error Injection
Packet loss, bit errors, order (delay) and repetition can be triggered on a one-shot basis or according to statistical rules.

Imports any RTP audio or video payload from Wireshark PCAP traces allowing support of proprietary modes, accurate reproduction of problems in the field and regression testing.

Performance
Hundreds of RTP streams can be generated on standard hardware. For example, 500 streams requires <10% CPU on 2.4GHz Core Duo. For stress testing, the same platform can perform 1000 simultaneous calls at 300+ calls per second.
