1.001 Introduction
The Valid8.com Technical FAQ will answer some basic technical questions and explain frequently misunderstood topics, features, and concepts.
2.001 The dongle is inserted but SAFIRE complains with error message “SXI not licensed” when I try to run the simulation system
Ensure the test environment system you want to run is licensed. Contact sales
2.002 Under XP, during installation of the SAFIRE environment, the process does not complete successfully.
The cause may be related to WinZip. Ensure WinZip is installed prior to SAFIRE installation
2.003 How do I find out my HASP security key ID?
Insert the HASP security key (USB or parallel) in a machine with SAFIRE software installed. Note: SAFIRE must be installed to ensure the correct HASP key drivers are available in order for the test program to communicate with the key and query the ID.
Run the SAFIRE Organizer and select an archive (e.g. c:\voip) and version (e.g. 16.17.20.00) as usual.
When the Organizer has completed loading the projects, choose Options->License Diagnostics. Note: in some older versions there may be a non-critical Microsoft Error at this point. Simply press Ignore several times to dimiss it.
The number under Software Sharing Device ID in the License Diagnostics window is the HASP key ID.
2.004 How can I run a batch-file at the start of a SIP test?
Configure the test suite via the Campaigner and set PX_Auto_Trigger_RESET_SUT to TRUE.
Create a batch-file called C:\trigger_reset_SUT.bat and fill it with the commands you wish to run (Path and filename are currently hard-coded)
2.005 What could be the problem if an INVITE message can’t be received while running SIP?
Make sure that you add port 5060, and select UDP in Windows firewall setup.
